    Theodora Skartsi was born in Zakynthos. She studied forestry in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During the years 1990-1992, she was a volunteer working in environmental education and fire protection with the Voluntary Forest Protection and Firefighting Association of the Sheikh-Sou forest of Thessaloniki. In 1993 she moved to Dadia, where she joined the field programme of WWF Greece, first as a field researcher and later became the local manager of the programme, until 2022. With her long experience in nature protection, management, monitoring, ecotourism and environmental education, her aim is to support the continuous presence of an environmental organisation that contributes to the management of critical environmental issues in the region of Thrace. She is a resident of Dadia, in the municipality of Soufli.<\/p>
