Eleven organisations, one team, united in the fight <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0for the well-being of wildlife and people.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Under the central slogan \u201cNature wants us on the same team\u201d, the new communication campaign launched today by the\u201cAlliance for Wildlife\u201d<\/a>serves as a reminder that in the struggle for the well-being of wildlife and humans alike, we are all in this together.<\/p>

The \u201cAlliance for Wildlife\u201d is an ambitious collective initiative: a team of eleven (11) environmental organisations with significant experience, which through the wide range of their actions work towards a common goal \u2014 the effective protection of well-known and lesser-known species of critical importance to Greece, as well as their ecosystems.<\/p>

Just as the success of a team depends on the effort of each individual player, the impact of the \u201cAlliance for Wildlife\u201d is driven by the work and dedication of the following environmental organisations:<\/p>

  1. ANIMA \u2013 Association for the Protection and Care of Wildlife<\/li>
  2. ARCHELON \u2013 Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece<\/li>
  3. CALLISTO \u2013 Environmental Organisation for Wildlife and Nature<\/li>
  4. Hellenic Ornithological Society<\/li>
  5. Society for the Protection of Biodiversity of Thrace<\/li>
  6. Society for the Protection of Prespa<\/li>
  7. Hellenic Institute of Speleological Research<\/li>
  8. iSea \u2013 Environmental Organisation for the Protection of Aquatic Ecosystems<\/li>
  9. MEDASSET \u2013 Mediterranean Association to Save the Sea Turtles<\/li>
  10. TETHYS Research Institute<\/li>
  11. WWF Greece<\/li><\/ol>

    Greece is home to more than 27,000 recorded animal species, 4,000 of which are endemic. At a time, however, when wildlife and ecosystems worldwide are being pushed beyond their limits due to climate change and environmental degradation, immediate and coordinated action is required. For this reason, this unique alliance operates on land, in the air, at sea and in rivers, across the entire country, focusing on emblematic and threatened species of Greek fauna.<\/p>

    As the Alliance completes its third year of operation, it can already demonstrate significant results. Indicatively, the following actions have been implemented during this period:<\/p>
