Beatriz Salvado was born in Lisbon, Portugal. She studied Biochemistry (NOVA School of Science and Technology) with postgraduate studies in Biochemistry for Health (NOVA Medical School). In 2024, she joined the SPBT project as a volunteer, in order to learn about the work being done in The Dadia-Lefikimi-Soufli Forest National Park and connect with nature. Along this journey, she also wants to learn a new language, get to know new people and a new culture.
