Long-legged Buzzard – Buteo rufinus

Long-legged buzzard is a bird of prey with an eastern distribution and is a characteristic species of the Balkans. It builds its nest on cliff-ledges from where it overlooks nearby agricultural land and where it gives birth to 2-3 offsprings. The buzzard spends its time in the fields looking for its food, such as mice and hedgehogs, but also reptiles and amphibians.
