Helena Correia was born in Portugal. She studied Biology at the University of Aveiro, with postgraduate studies in Marine Biology. She works in monitoring the effects of wind farms on birds. Previously, she worked as a marine biologist in a research centre and aquarium in Portugal. During 2020-2021, she participated as a volunteer with the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) in the Dadia programme of WWF Greece. From 2022, she collaborates with the SPBT as an external partner for support and guidance services (mentoring) for the ESC volunteers hosted in Dadia. She is a resident of Dadia, in the municipality of Soufli.
