Helena Correia was born in Portugal, and tudied Biology at Aveiro University with a postgraduate degree in Marine Biology. Currently she works on monitoring the effects of wind farms on birds, and previously worked as a marine biologist at a research center and public aquarium in Portugal. Between 2020-2021 she participated as a volunteer through the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) in WWF Greece program in Dadia. Since 2022 she has been collaborating with SPBT as an external partner for support and mentoring services to the ESC volunteers hosted by the organization in Dadia. She is a resident of Dadia-Soufli.
