Lefteris Kapsalis was born in Thessaloniki. He studied Forestry and the Natural Environment (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), with postgraduate studies in the Sustainable Management of Protected Areas (University of Patras). In 2016, he moved to Dadia where he worked until 2021 with WWF Greece as a field researcher specialising in monitoring the effects of wind farms on birds, in policy activities and in actions to implement measures to mitigate damage from wild animals in agricultural production. He is a resident of Dadia, in the municipality of Soufli.
